This is truly an iconic restaurant in Nelson that keeps us returning again and again. The food is always of exceptional quality, and it may just be the best place in terms of value for money. If you enjoy meat, you absolutely can't miss their signature Angus steak dish. Kerry and Gary make a fantastic team, supported by a wonderful staff. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner—along with coffee and cake or a glass of local wine with tapas—this place has it all. Keep up the great work because it's fantastic!

I had the Angus fillet steak, and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the snapper, and he said it was also fantastic. This restaurant is our favorite, and I definitely recommend it to others. You won’t be disappointed with the staff, the atmosphere, and most importantly, the food. #thankyoufordsrestaurantandbar

Excellent range of exquisite food, cooked to perfection and served in a timely manner. Our table pf 4 enjoyed 3 courses, all had a different option and all thought the quality very high. Would highly recommend and return.

We had an overnight getaway in Nelson and happened along Fords. Wow! Just wow! The food was so good. Both my husband and I loved what we ordered (I had lamb, he had steak). It was perfectly cooked and looked great in the plate as well. The real winner here though is, not only are their mains amazing and interesting, the dessert selection is as well. Let me tell you, there was not a lot of dinner conversation going on. We were too wrap up in the incredible food we were eating!

I hadn't been there before, so I had no expectations. However, it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and of a high standard, which was great for my two and five-year-olds. The service was fantastic as well. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
