Alexander Italian - New Albany

Last night, my husband and I had a reservation for 8 PM. We arrived 15 minutes early, but they seated us within just 5 minutes. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual. We started with a café luccio, which was outstanding for coffee. I also enjoyed a glass of Cabernet and pink moscato, both of which were very good. I ordered the chicken piccata with sautéed spinach, and the caper sauce on the chicken was absolutely delicious. My husband chose the steak alfredo, which was priced according to the market rate. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience.

I recently dined at Café 157 and was delighted by the diverse flavors available in downtown New Albany. They offer a regular menu with everyday items, as well as daily specials. I ordered the Vietnamese banh mi sandwich and a Vietnamese spring roll, both of which were delicious. The skilled chef truly knows how to create flavorful dishes.

Born in Alex City but a first timer here and it was nothing short of delicious! Amazing food! The lasagna was so fresh and homemade! The bread was awesome as well as the sides: red potatoes, asparagus, and vegetable medley! The nicest staff! We will be back when we are in town again! Highly recommend!

My family stopped her for lunch the day after Thanksgiving. They had 51 guests for Thanksgiving dinner. The owner is also an antique collector and a supporter of local artists. Their works decorate the walls. The food is excellent, and is served on colorful, old dinner ware. This place deserves your attendance and support.
