Union Station Diner - New Braunfels

Great little restaurant. normally wait. the place is small. they only make breakfast and lunch. eating is very cheap. we ordered 7 hungry texan breakfast meals. bacon was crispy and the pancakes were big and fluffy. we will return for more.

This little family owned diner offers impeccable, friendly service and huge portions of food. We only waited a short while and quickly discovered that it was well worth it. Our waitress was really sweet, helpful and prompt. The food was delicious. I ordered two eggs over easy with chicken fried steak with home fries and a biscuit. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the chicken fried steak was tender and fried just right. The home fries were crispy and the biscuit was definitely homemade. If you're ever in the area, give this greasy spoon a try!

My family and I went to Union Station Diner for lunch and the lady who was our server did an amazing job juggling our group of 8 people!! We were all very happy with our server and how prompt and professional she was. She has short hair and had really pretty nails (my daughter is very shy but she felt comfortable enough to tell her that her nails were pretty) We will definitely return to Union Station Diner the next time we are in town! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

It's a nice, locally owned place but the overall quality isn't anything special. Tastes and looks like generic store bought food. If you're nearby and don't want to cook for yourself then it's a decent option. In future I'll stick with a couple other local favorites that are always great. I think it could be a 4 star sometimes like when they aren't super busy because it's a fun little dining room and friendly staff. Details: The omelettes were flat and not fluffy at all. The pancakes tasted somewhat stale like they weren't made fresh. They just didn't have what you would expect from a nice cafe considering what you're paying for them. The biscuit tasted very generic. Overall it wasn't terrible but didn't taste anything like what you'd expect from a nice local cafe or diner.
