I ordered 24 crabs for pickup, and was disappointed to find that 8 of them had either only one claw or none at all! When you're paying $10 for each crab, you'd expect them to have two claws each. None were at the bottom of the bag, so I assume they might have been used for soup? Additionally, there were a few crabs that felt quite light. I won’t be returning again.
My wife is a hard-shell crab enthusiast, and I love shellfish! We could have chosen from numerous places between York County and Northern Maryland, but we struggled to find crabs, oysters, clams, and mussels with outdoor seating and live music. That’s when we discovered Captain Bob's! It was conveniently nearby and had everything we were looking for. It turned out to be a perfect evening! The weather, music, food, and service were all top-notch. My wife indulged in her crabs, and I enjoyed my shellfish. The soup was incredible! The broasted chicken and sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had! The quality of the food, service, and entertainment couldn’t have been better. Thank you for providing my wife and me with a fantastic experience!
I hadn't been to Captain Bob's since they were a crab shack! We had the soft crab sandwiches and they were really good! Very small, soft crabs but two on the sandwich were perfect and they were perfectly cooked! Fries were good too! Fries were good too!
Waitress was friendly but absent minded never gave utensils napkins or offered condiments. I had to grab it from next table. Food is really expensive for what you get Jimmy fries were low grade fries a dollop of crab dip and melted cheese in the center other fries left bare…served on a thin paper plate-paid for an unbelievable 25.95. Asked for crab cake broiled got a fried one all you can taste is old grease. Onion rings and applesauce ended up being the main meal.. Music was too loud for the few customers there. Doz littleneck clams run $14.95 emphasis on little. There was a couple that came in sat down looked at the menu got up and left without ordering …should have taken that as a warning. $78.79 for this dining experience. Honestly bummed out to think of what could have had if I drove a little further south to Stonebridge Grille, Madonna’s or Casa Mia’s or north to The Paddock , Rockfish Grille. Oh well, another bad bump in discovering local eats… moving on.
