Rudy's - New Haven

Fries taste like at home. Offers an ok beer selection and great set of classic and novelty sauces.

Located at a very inconspicuous corner, this bar is a real gem. You have a lot of options for different beers on tap (many of them served cold in glasses bearing the name of the drink you choose). They also have happy hours (which I plan on exploiting soon)! The ambience is nice and laid back, the service is good the best part though is the food. This has been my 4th visit fish and chips, fries, burritos and (this time) the chicken tacos were all AMAZING. You wouldn't expect to find such breathtaking food being served in such an unassuming, fun setup. Do make sure you ask for the garlic tomato ketchup and wonder how you ever lived in the past so joylessly without it. If you're within 20 30 mins of this place, give it a visit!

They made sure all my restrictions were met and food was still amazing. Will be back again for brunch and surfer on acid shots

Wow! That burger was perfect. They actually cooked it medium as per request. The fries were overdone. A bit of a let down. Fish and chips were decent. The tartar sauce needed some help. Chili was ok. 4.5 stars (half a point off for the fries)

Rudy's is a dependable New Haven bar with EXCELLENT frites and a great tap list with a focus on Belgian beers. Great for an afternoon beer after a matinee or a late night stop on a bar crawl. One of my favorites.
