Bidra med feedbackThis is seriously the best well kept secret that Connecticut has to offer. I 've often called the burgers the 'Snickers bars of cheese burgers ' it 's a perfect meal. If your a bit more peckish you can always grab a beef barley or split pea soup. With a great small town atmosphere this joint has it all!
This is our favorite spot in New London. It's the last remaining bar where you can drink at the same bar as Eugene O'Neill. For history and literature enthusiasts, they have excellent soups that change daily and the best burger in town. We prefer our burgers on the smaller side, not huge half-pound portions, and the Dutch fries are fantastic. The menu is limited, but everything is delicious. They offer eight beers on tap, as well as bottled options.
The Dutch Tavern is a great place to grab a drink. I may not visit often, but I make sure to stop by when I'm in New London. The atmosphere always feels welcoming...
This is one of my favorite places in the area. It is the top bar in New London.
I recently discovered this restaurant and it has all the elements of a traditional tavern, perhaps even dating back to pre-revolution times. They serve peanuts, pickled eggs, cold beer and have a wonderful atmosphere filled with friendly patrons. This will definitely be my new go-to spot when I'm in the mood for a cozy and old-fashioned dining experience.
