Gianna - New Orleans

My friend and I went to Gianna for Sunday brunch, and I made the first reservation of the day. For a while, we were the only guests in the restaurant, but it gradually got busier. Overall, I would rate the food and drinks a solid 4. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect score of 5 is that the beef short rib I had was the least flavorful I've ever tried. It wasn’t bad by any means, but I've definitely had better. Everything else we ordered was quite enjoyable. The meatball appetizer was delicious, but I highly recommend ordering the ciabatta garlic bread as well.

I enjoyed some of the best food I've ever had in New Orleans at this restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic, the space is roomy, and the staff is friendly and quick to serve. It's only a 10-minute walk from the French Quarter, which made it easier to find a table and provided plenty of seating options.

Son and daughter in law treated us to a fabulous meal Thursday evening, so delicious, Servers were the most attentive I have seen in a long time, so friendly. Food was super good,

Amazing food and awesome service! My daughter had the Ricotta Gnocchi with Shaved Black Truffles on top and said it was delicious! I had the Crawfish Ravioli, and it was out of this world! We also had the Chopped Salad?delightful!! Meatballs?excellent! Ciabatta Garlic Bread?surprisingly a must get! We saw many families with children, so it appears that this is a good family place.

The ambiance is lovely, but the service could use some improvement. The hostess wasn’t very apologetic, while the waiter was pleasant, but we encountered a server with a bit of an attitude. All our dishes arrived at once, and although we ordered one ice cream, the waiter brought us two and assured us we wouldn't be charged for the extra. However, we ended up being billed for both?? The food was good, though a bit spicier than I'd expect for Italian cuisine. The ciabatta was excellent. They have a great concept, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
