Bidra med feedbackThis is a must-visit for all oyster enthusiasts! We ordered the grilled oysters, and they were absolutely fantastic—big, plump, and incredibly fresh! The grilled shrimp were equally delicious. The prices are very reasonable for such high-quality food, and the service was outstanding. Every staff member, from the host to our server, was friendly and attentive. Our server, Desseria, was particularly sweet and helpful. We previously had oysters at the Oyster Bar Coterie in the French Quarter, but they were tiny and overpriced, and the service was dismal. In contrast, Ed's is simply amazing. Choose this place over any other; you won’t regret it!
The food and atmosphere were fantastic. The staff was really friendly and got us seated quickly. The catfish and chicken were definitely the highlights. The étouffée and jambalaya were tasty, but not quite as impressive. I would suggest ordering a dish that offers a bit of everything!
We returned to our hotel next door just 20 minutes before closing, feeling a bit fatigued. To our delight, the staff welcomed us warmly. The waiter was understanding and didn't rush us, patiently guiding me through the wine selections. The ambiance was lovely—quiet yet very much reflective of New Orleans. The oysters were absolutely amazing, and the red beans were fantastic. Thank you for accommodating tired, late-night travelers like us!
The food is great! The service is above the bar. The part is generous for the House of Salad. The 1/2
Best meal we had in New Orleans goes to … Mr. Ed’s!!! We got half a dozen charbroiled oysters with garlic butter and Parmesan, another half a dozen charbroiled oysters topped with jalapeños, blackened redfish, Louisiana crawfish étouffée, a dozen raw oysters, and banana foster cream pie. The charbroiled oysters were heaven on earth, came out of the grill piping hot. The oysters were deliciously smoky, swimming in garlic butter, Parmesan and rosemary. A harmonious trifecta of flavors, smokiness and earthy herbs made for an unbeatable combination in your mouth. The addition of pickled jalapeños were a yummy, tangy surprise. The blackened redfish was so freaking delicious. We absolutely love smoked food and the moistness of the fish trapped all the delicious Cajun seasonings and spices. Louisiana crawfish étouffée was hearty and mellow enough to be the perfect palate cleanser between all the other super flavorful dishes. Louisiana’s raw oysters are sweet as pie! Juicy and meaty with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Banana foster cream pie was absolutely heavenly. Our new favorite dessert. We were stuffed to the GILLS and ate this pie UP! Not a single crumb was left. The graham cracker crust complimented the banana cream pie layers. There were a total of three layers, banana mousse, banana purée and a banana bread-like layer. Ugh, so good! Do your taste buds a favor and head to Mr. Ed’s!
