Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant serves the best Alfredo I've ever had; you can really tell it’s made from scratch. The garlic butter potato wedges were also incredible! I would definitely consider going back. The service was a little slow, but the food was hot and the servers were friendly. It was quite busy when we visited.
I was on a quest for fried oysters for my mom and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. The thinly fried catfish with a spicy kick was absolutely delightful, and the tartar sauce paired perfectly with it. Most of the dishes come with crispy garlic fries, which are generously drenched in butter and garlic—absolutely delicious! The chicken fingers were baked and incredibly tender. The oysters were simply perfect. I highly recommend this place! We also noticed many locals dining here, which is always a great sign.
The food was incredible! The jambalaya was amazing—definitely a 5 out of 5! Even the croutons in my salad were buttery and crispy! The oysters were fresh and flavorful, and the fish was tender and perfectly seasoned. And the Bloody Mary was fantastic! I will definitely be coming back! Plus, the view from the balcony was stunning, even on a cool day!
It took a while to sit, but it was worth waiting. the food was good and our server dre was wonderful. it was almost the closing time when we were there, they did not try to push us, eat or nothing. Big southern hospitality, and that comes from someone who is south because I am from ga. I have to say so.
We had an hour to grab something to eat before my sweetheart was arriving on the choo choo from New England so of course the obvious choice was to head for the French Quarter and came across this place. I love the open air restaurants in this town and this one fits the bill. This place has been around since 1984 and is at the beginning of the French quarter close to the Riverside, river walk and the end of Canal Street and conveniently located across from great parking. (I park here quite a bit but the process are rediculous now $10 for 1st hr $33 for the 2nd, rediculous) They have eight locations in and around Nawlins. I ate upstairs here a few years ago and don 't remember the meal but was glad to be here on this night. We were seated downstairs right away with only one other table occupied. There 's hot sauces condiments at the table our server, sorry forgot her name, takes our drink order puts in our app order. There 's a muted big screen TV close by, which doesn 't make a lot of sense to me because the street view is plenty entertaining. The menu is small enough to absorb quickly and we put in our order. Shrimpzailla is a feature menu item a distinct Nawlins flare with fried shrimp, roast beef debris gravy, Swiss cheese, shredded cabbage and Creole mustard sauce and while my son enjoyed it I immediately notice that their shrimp was not deveined and that 's a huge no-no for my palette, disappointing. The other stand-alone 2 poboys are the bbq shrimp one-handed sloppy roast beef. My comfort food of choice was a solid bowl of red beans and rice with a couple pieces of lightly toasted buttered French bread. It was seasoned well without unnecessary chunky veggies or distractions from the stars, beans. We started with the alligator poppers and they were unlike any I 've had anywhere else. They 're 4 meatball sized deep fried balls filled with ground gator meat in a mix of veggies seasoned filling and served with an orange marmalade dip that really compliments this very tasty app, a winner. The big star were the garlic fries that were to die for, absolutely the very best steak-style fries I have ever tasted, period! The cook, seasoning the garlic glaze was so flavorful and well executed I would feature them with all the dishes. I don 't recall ever having my mouth water when thinking is any kind of potato, they 're that good! Other apps are crawfish queso, boudin balls, Buffalo wings chili cheese fries. They offer some nice looking whole meal salads like the sizzling shrimp remoulade, strawberry fields, chicken Ceasar, grilled shrimp Ceasar fried oyster Ceasar. To represent the hamburger in their name there 's an impressive lineup of burgers like the big ch-easy, gourmet, all-American, mushroom Swiss, roadhouse, hickory bacon cheeseburger, big veggie, chilli cheeseburger the rajun ' cajun. They have more fried seafood choices that come as platters or poboys, fried oysters, thin or thick catfish fried shrimp plus the seafood platter that has all these with boudin balls. They have a whole section of the menu called comfort food with city 's best gumbo, Nawlins style jambalaya (not NY style lol), bayou pasta, alfredo pasta, fish almondine, grilled fish catfish lafite. There 's a $7.99 four item kids menu finally 2 desserts, bread pudding chocolate nut brownie a le mode. Bottom line: Great location, the ambience is very true to the French Quarter, the bar is nice with a full range of regular and Nawlins special cocktails. Single bathroom, that needs a little work, downstairs with another upstairs. Close quarters that 's not very handicap accessible. But the food is solid, place is clean and the entire staff checks-in to make sure you 're a happy customer.
