Copper Monkey Grill - New Orleans

Typically a very busy French Quarter restaurant with great Cajun cuisine at fair prices(relative to the area). The first time we tried it the line was well into the street so we waited till the next afternoon and found the line much shorter, we were seated immediately. The service was great although a little slow at first. Food came out quickly and was fabulous, the BBQ shrimp was rich and very flavorful and I recommend it. Atmosphere is good and there are lots of TVsfor any sporting events happening. I would recommend it if you would like to eat in the French Quarter.

Flavor: A Service: B Tea: A Solo dining: D The long line on the sidewalk can be deceiving. I still don't know how it moved so quickly. We started with gator bites and crab cakes. Both were great. I had the Cajun pasta and it was hearty with strong flavor. Everything is fresh. I was afraid this was a tourist trap but it is genuinely delicious.

We visited based on other peoples reviews. Holy Cow! 1. The hurricane drink equals anything we’ve ever had. (although the cherries and oranges- mmm, not as fresh. But you can ignore them) 2. The burger is absolutely amazing, cooked to order. 3. The atmosphere and servers are so friendly and helpful. 4. The place is clean and the menu is widely varied. We had the burger and fries and the Whitney special. Sooo delicious. And V, our bartender/server was so friendly and fabulous! Go there but keep it a secret from the masses, lol.

Came here because of reviews and it was close to my hotel. I got small gumbo and monkey buns(beignets). Yummy. The soup is savoury and nourishing. I had doubts about ordering a dessert because previously in some other places I found American desserts too sweet for me. But these are perfect! I can tell they are fresh and handmade

This bar/restaurant is amazing!!! It's got that hometown feel...great bar food and atmosphere. The bartenders are friendly and great to chat with. We had the wings, ordered them hot...and I will say they are amazing! Coming from the Buffalo, NY area, we know wings and these are the fantastic. Definitely recommend you check this place out.
