Bidra med feedbackNormally Jersey Mike's food is fantastic! I do highly recommend this restaurant.My review today was due to understaffing which created stressed staff. Stressed staff make mistakes. I have no problem with mistakes, we all make them.My issue was that I had ordered a portobello mushroom sub to pick up and when I did, I took it outside to eat with my daughter at one of the tables. When I opened the sub, it was one big, oily, soggy, mess. It truly was inedible. I took it back in to show them and was told it had been setting a few minutes. The gal that had made it was upset as they were busy and finally said she could remake it. I said I would truly appreciate it if she would.What I received in return was mostly a cheese and onion sub. There was one large mushroom and a few small pieces.?. I did not take it back in because I truly did feel bad for the young girl cooking. Yet I don't think I will EVER ASK FOR A REMAKE AGAIN.
I don't come into Jersey Mike's very often although I do love the food. But today around 430pm I did come in and I just had to say how impressed I was at the two guys working. The gentlemen were starting to get busy and even so they still continued to keep their work area clean and in just the time I was there the guy mainly manning the front washed his hands probably 3 or 4 times. Everytime he would go from the front cash register to making food he would stop and wash his hands. They did a really great job.
I want to express my frustration with my recent experience at this restaurant. Upon entering, I wasn't greeted, and when I politely requested light ham on my sandwich, the older woman making my food abruptly stopped, muttered something under her breath, and then went to the back to do dishes instead of completing my order. Her coworker had to step in, apologize, and finish making my sandwich. Unfortunately, this encounter felt reminiscent of the racism I’ve noticed during my visit to Philadelphia to see my parents. It's disheartening to see such attitudes still present today.
This was my first and last visit. The customer service and food were terrible, so I cannot recommend it.
I noticed that the restaurant was quite busy, so I could understand waiting nearly 10 minutes to be acknowledged. However, after finally being greeted, I was informed that there would be at least a 30-minute wait for the grill due to the volume of online orders. As a customer present in the store, it was frustrating to feel like online orders for DoorDash took precedence. The staff seemed clearly understaffed, and the manager appeared to be under significant stress. Still, I don't understand why customers who are physically present are treated as a lower priority. While this was the most extreme instance, it reflects a pattern I've experienced at this location.
