Fish Chikzzz - New Windsor

I am so glad I stumbled across this place! The food was amazing! It was like food you cook at home! It is so hard to find good home cooked food out to eat! They had the best corn bread I have ever tasted! Everything was made with love! The owner is a pleasant man and the atmosphere is superb! I loved the music and the company. I met a lovely woman and I enjoyed myself very much. I will be sure to tell everyone about this place! Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this soul food restaurant Fish Chikzzz, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The cornbread was simply divine, perhaps the best I've ever had! Dexter, the owner, epitomizes hospitality—he was incredibly nice, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal, making us feel truly welcomed.My favorites of the evening were the shrimp and collard greens, which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Not only was the food outstanding, but the ambiance of the restaurant was also delightful. The environment was warm and inviting, and the music added the perfect touch to the overall experience.I'm already counting down the days until my next visit—I can't wait to come back and enjoy another delicious meal. It’s always a bonus when it’s a black owned business the experience is even more meaningful. Food is hit or miss at times depending on which cook is there.

Came here the other night very nice atmosphere inside they had a dj who was playing good music only thing It was really loud you couldn't hear the person you were talking to. It was also 9 o'clock on a Friday so to be expected. I got the whiting fish, scallops, shrimp, cornbread, and Mac and cheese with hot sauce and tarter. The seafood was chefs kiss I'm a sucker for scallops and they were delicious. The batter they use to fry I would say could use a little more seasoning but if you use the sauces you cant tell. The corn bread was very good but it was more like a cake than a bread, it almost tasted like vanilla cake mix and corn bread mix mixed together. The Mac and cheese on the other hand was not good, the seasoning was good but it was very very dry. When it came to the bar it seemed like they didn’t have that many options wine/spirit wise not sure if they were just out or what. Some recommendation I would make would be in investing in some wine glasses because It was being served in a champagne glasses and bringing out lemon slices with the seafood combos.

I love this place. Dexter is amazing, very friendly, and very generous. The food is always hot and delicious. I've been to Fish and Chikzzz many times and can't wait to go back again !!!
