Anassa Taverna - New York

So good! We've been trying similar dishes from the area Greek restaurants and this one might be our new favorite! The Anassa Chips and the Greek salad were excellent.

The Lamb chops with lemon potatoes are superb! The ambience is great and the service is very good ,too!

Oh my, the complimentary bread and hummus were incredible. The homemade hummus was the best I have ever had. The redfish, wrapped in parchment paper with fresh vegetables was delicious.

Edit on my previous 5* review, been coming every few weeks for a bit. Today?We noticed a staggering price increase, $15 for 3 shrimp (PAST FEW TIMES HAS BEEN 4 see photo below!!! on top of my $20 salad that is slightly skimpy to begin with. Chicken was$10. For 2 salads nothing else with tip was $80!!!!!!!! That is wild even for NYC..I don?t normally feel ripped off but today,I do. AMAZING! Delicious, great service, fresh= LOVED!

Beautiful restaurant with a very nice dining atmosphere~ Interior Decor has a nice mediterranean flare. The bread that they served for each table as a starter tasted freshly baked, nice crust n soft. Love, love the Anassa Chips which was lightly friedthin sliced zucchini n eggplant served with refreshing tzatziki. I had the Cobb salad which consisted of fresh vegetable n acreamy dressing. Definitely worth a try!
