Gleason's Tavern - New York

We went to have a drink and a snack before our show . Gleason's was closed! We had to go to the Yard. I would have preferred Gleason's. There is no guarantee they will be open. We went to the Yard; instead. I would have preferred a local venue. The Aladdin show is across the street, and convenient. They were closed on Tuesday night. The web site said open 5 to 2 am.

The salad was very poor. It wasn't delicious. The staff was unfriendly. Not worth to go there again.

You can walk around New York looking for a great meal and sometimes it’s right on front of your eyes. We are staying at The Shocard Hotel and next door is the Gleason’s Tavern. Feeling tired and a little lazy, we checked out the menu online and decided this is just what we needed.My partner had the cheeseburger and I had the buffalo wings (appetiser). Along with a margarita and sangria it turned out to be a delicious meal.Portion size was good and food fresh and tasty.Staff were exceptional and very attentive.If you’re seeing a show two doors down, this is the place for a before or after show dinner snack.Great bar atmosphere and the music playlist continually had me singing along.Thanks team Gleason’s.
