I've been dining at Momokawa for years, and while there are plenty of other highly-rated Japanese restaurants within a ten-block radius, I've tried them all and found Momokawa to be the best in terms of price, quality, and freshness of seafood. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including appetizers, oysters, sushi, sashimi, and omakase shabu-shabu. Plus, the selection of sake and beer pairs perfectly with the authentic cuisine. The knowledgeable staff are attentive and enjoyable to interact with. You'll have a fantastic dinner and a wonderful evening here.

The most authentic Japanese restaurant in NYC! I absolutely love their Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu, but their Sashimi and Sushi are also top-notch! The food has consistently been exceptional since their location on 28th Street, and the service is always excellent. The ambiance brings me back to my hometown in Japan, where I used to live.

We had a good time at here having the Miyazaki beef from Japan. Mouth melting, disappears in a second in the mouth. They also had a live soft shell crab which was so fresh and delicious. We will come back!

Ordered Sukiyaki with Miyazaki beef for $175. When the sever brought the beef our first impression was they brought the wrong order. But when we double check with the server, she is very confident this is the Miyazaki beef. Very disappointed, themarble, the taste, it?s not a prime beef. Felt being scammed!! Highly not recommend.
