Bidra med feedbackThe atmosphere is warm and inviting. As soon as one group vacated their table, another set of diners came in. While it didn't feel overly busy, there was a constant flow of individuals and small groups entering as others left, so it never felt crowded. The service was quick, provided by competent staff who, while not particularly expressive, were certainly not unfriendly. This didn't matter too much when our hunger struck and we were treated to such delicious comfort food. In summary, it was a great experience, best enjoyed in fantastic company and with big appetites. I would definitely recommend it!
My girlfriend remembered that Saigon Grill was nearby, and since it was already after 11 PM, we decided to skip the usual late-night pizza slice and check if the restaurant was still open. We found it, now called Saigon Market, and were delighted to see it was open until midnight! We quickly snagged a table, and our anticipation was evident as we browsed the menus. We soon realized that the menu was quite similar to their previous location, so deciding what to order was a no-brainer: vegetarian summer rolls, Tasty and Spicy Chicken, and Ga Sate chicken. With the first bite, we were taken back to a state of culinary bliss. Each dish was generous and satisfying, and it was so delicious that we had to force ourselves to eat slowly to truly savor it. Plus, just like before, the food arrived at lightning speed! The menu offers a wide variety of substantial Vietnamese dishes, and they also have great lunch specials. They're open every day until midnight. As always, the service was attentive and straightforward, which we appreciated. We also noticed that the restaurant is quite spacious, reminiscent of dining in a big restaurant at Disney World. It’s easily accessible from the Union Square 4, 5, 6 subway station. We will definitely make the quick subway trip from the Upper East Side to get our Vietnamese food fix again!
Hearty Pho. I stopped by for a quick dinner on a chilly winter night, and the pho really hit the spot. The broth was delicious, rich in flavor, and satisfying. I did wish there had been a bit more beef in it, but the portion was generous enough that I couldn't finish it all. Overall, it was a solid meal, and the service was friendly and accommodating. The interior could use some updating since it feels a bit outdated, but the place is quite spacious.
Great for takeout/delivery. Their lunch specials are a great deal with all items under $10. Portions are big. The food is delicious. I recommend the Grilled Chicken Bun (grilled chicken over cold vermicelli noodles) or the Grilled Pork Chops.
I went a year ago and the food was excellent. The decor was up to par and the setting was intimate w/ dimmed lights as expected of a Asian restaurant. The food didn't take long and was exquisite. Best part was that the meal for two was approx. $30! I recommend it.
