Sangria 46 - New York

Great, casual place for meeting friends. Food was very good, service was great. Good value. Told our server we weren’t in a rush. He brought out our food at a leisurely pace which was exactly what we wanted. Fun vibe. Been here several times. Highly recommend.

I have not have such a pleasant Spanish meal since I retired from the Iron-bound section of Newark a decade ago. The Paella de Mariscos and Valenciana were among the best I have had. I don't know what they did to the rice, but it was perfection. The ladies had the lamb shank and stuffed eggplant. Everything was excellent: overly filling, especially with the Empanadas appetizers. The latter, however, were good but nothing special. The excellent service should be noted. It was raining and we arrived 30 minutes before our reservations. The servers were very accommodating and pleasant, and we never felt rushed. We expect to return for our next pre-theater meal.

The tapas were very tasty; although the portions were smaller than expected for the price. The sangria was delicious!

The food was wonderful. At a place called Sangria 46 you hope the Sangria is good, and it was great! Had four tapas dishes, all very good, and a WONDERFUL Tres Leches Cake for dessert. Mexican coffee is now my wife 's favorite.
