Bidra med feedbackMostly had drinks/coffee. But overall good experience. Nice enough. Priced a little higher with a bit of an Ace Hotel tax just since they think they're pretty cool (and they are, just maybe not THAT cool....a lot of NY is cool, you know? . But anyway, still always a decent experience and good stuff. I did NOT get the chance to try the wagyu burger yet. That's on the list for next time.
Such a cool spot to grab a few of drinks with friends and just chat. The drinks were pretty decent and the ambiance is very comfortable.
I made a reservation, but when I arrived, I was told there was a misunderstanding and the restaurant was closed for two private parties. They still let us in, but informed us that no tables were available since they had intended to cancel all reservations. The bartender was quite unfriendly; after we ordered drinks, he stared at us with skepticism for a while before reluctantly making us two very standard cocktails: a Negroni and an espresso martini. There was nothing unusual about our order for a NYC bar, except for the bartender's attitude.
This is an ideal spot for a date night! I took a girl here for our second date, and it couldn't have been better. The Lobby Bar offers a dark, sexy, and cozy atmosphere, along with excellent drinks. The staff was fantastic – they allowed us to order our drinks and then gave us space to enjoy each other's company without being overly intrusive. I really appreciated how we could just relax and get to know each other without constant interruptions, which can be the case in some places. While I understand that most staff are just trying to be helpful, it was refreshing to have the liberty to enjoy our time together without being disturbed. So, absolutely, this is a great place for a date night! P.S. The couches in the Lobby Bar are incredibly cozy, making it easy for my date to snuggle up close.
I had an excellent experience dining with a client. I will definitely return for more laid-back meetings in the future.
