The first bite was yummy The rice is flavorful and cooked perfectly, the cabbage as well. The chicken was slow cooked to a pleasing consistency of tender and juicy meat in a delicious gravy!

I was gonna write this review 5 orders ago but I kept giving chances. I use to love this place. As of late, I have no idea what’s going on in there. Prices going higher and higher while the quality of the food is awful. $25 for this oxtail plate with a $5 and all I wanna do is throw this whole plate against a wall. Oxtails all dry and tough like they’re a couple days old. Like trying to chew rubber. Plantains can’t even be distinguished because it’s nothing but mush. Rice all wet and soggy. I will never spend another cent in this place. Completely disgusted.

Listen, I come here almost as often as every Monday. This might be my favorite place in the city and for more reasons than one. Namely, I love the people that work here. You are taken care of and treated with warmth and respect. The food. Really doesn’t get any better. For 9 bucks or so (before tax), I get a medium jerk chicken plate with plantains and cabbage and rice and peas and the best jerk sauce there is. And when they have it, I get their pineapple ginger drink. It’s glorious. From the moment I come in to the moment I leave. Go here and enjoy it for yourself.

Very disappointed. Tasteless Oxtails. I wish it came with a packet of salt. I only kept eating because it was $21 for a medium. I didn't want to waste my money. The cabbage was old and almost spoiled. Someone should also tell them that some salt in the rice would not hurt.
