Bidra med feedbackI had an exceptional experience at this restaurant and it was definitely worth the wait! It is quite popular, so be prepared to wait, but the taste of the food was like nothing I've ever had before. Watching the chef prepare the meal in front of me was amazing. I dined alone and didn't feel comfortable filming the chef, but I regret not doing so because it was truly incredible. I chose the Steak Dianne and I will remember this meal for a long time. If you enjoy a good steak, this restaurant is a must-visit!
I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant. The steak cuts were top quality and cooked perfectly, especially the Flambè steak Diane, eye fillet, and lamb. The flambe prawn main and cured salmon entree were divine, as were the flambe crepes and rhubarb brulè. The chef is truly a master of his craft and the service was exceptional. From start to finish, it was an amazing experience and I can guarantee you will leave very satisfied.
My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at this restaurant and it was a fantastic experience! We enjoyed the Chateaubriand for two followed by Crepe Suzettes. The food was amazing - we have had this dish about four times in our 40 years of marriage and this was the best we have ever had. The high quality beef eye fillet was cooked perfectly and the serving size was very generous. Tony, our host, did a great job and was lovely to chat with while he cooked our meal. It was a very memorable occasion for both of us. The price was also very reasonable compared to other restaurants in Wellington where we have paid more for inferior quality and quantity. Great job to Tony and the rest of the friendly staff at the Orangery.
Wonderful meal. Had steak diane and prawns cooked at our table by the delightful Tony. Absolutely made my grand daughters night when she 'helped ' him. On holiday from the Coromandel Peninsula. Highly recommend this restaurant
As we were arriving 10 minutes late, we rang ahead and notified them of our late arrival. When we arrived, the waitress looked at us down her nose and snapped just a moment. When we gave our names she remarked “your late” my husband and I exchanged glances while she said this way and turned on her heel. I remarked how she was not wearing her name badge and she lifted her cardigan to show me she was named Fiona. First impression is Fiona hates her job and gives bad front of house service. Food was excellent and does not ever disappoint. What a shame about Fiona, she really lets the place down
