The Original Hot Bagels - Newark

I put an order at 12:20, came at 12:35 and paid for it, I did not see my food until 1:05. I've got a bagel and an order from domestic fries. At least 3 waves of people came into a much more complicated subject than mine and got their food before I even saw mine.

Currently writing this review while I wait for my pork roll egg and cheese. I have been waiting for over an hour! Very disorganized when it comes to online orders. Have had to go up and ask about my order more than a couple times just to get no response! Most likely will never come back to this place.

I came here for a dozen bagel because they had the best reviews of any bagel shop in Newark. The ratings are deserved! They have a great selection of fresh bagels: a few of the options are on the sweet side like blueberry and cinnamon but most are the savory variety that I prefer. They offer at least nine different flavors of cream cheese, and their selection of sandwiches, salads, and omelets is mind-blowing! Their customer service is top-notch, too. I submitted a question and a comment to their website?s comments section and received a reply in a couple of hours. (I can?t even get contractors around here to do that on jobs that are going to make them thousands of dollars!

This place is run by real humans. I ordered a toasted bagel that I wished was more toasted. I tried to politely ask to have it more toasted, but they had just dealt with a difficult customer and I got some frustration from them. They didn 't blow up and triple toasted it for me. From now on I 'll order triple toasted, because this is the best bagel in Newark. Thanks for your patience with me.

My first visit was great they did everything perfectly. I came back here today ordered over the phone this time and I thought everything was fine. Went off to work only to realize my order was wrong instead of turkey bacon they used pork, but I can?t eat pork. I hate to be difficult but I called them and they said they would exchange it for me. When I got here they were hesitant asking me ?are you sure you told us turkey bacon?? Like I can?t eat pork so how would I ever make that mistake. They corrected it but I just didn?t appreciate the hesitation when it was a mistake on their part. The food is great though honestly! Actually an update they ended up putting more unwanted things on my food so that?s another star lost from me. Wow 2nd times a charm I don?t know if I?m going to try for a 3rd after this.
