Sportsman's - Newaygo

If I could give six stars, I absolutely would! Our group of 11 was warmly welcomed and seated without delay. Despite the size of our table, Ally was exceptional. She brought each of us our drinks quickly and exactly as ordered. Every dish was served perfectly, and everyone agreed their food was outstanding. We started with the gator bites, which were just as delicious as those I've had in LA or FL. As a fan of wet burritos, I ordered one and was thoroughly pleased—the flavors were rich and well-balanced. My wife chose the blackened salmon and loved it. Additionally, the decor contributes to a truly unique atmosphere.

The food was outstanding, and I had no complaints about anything that was served to us. I honestly can't recall ever having a Spicy Chicken Sandwich that was as good as the one I enjoyed here.

We've been living in the Newaygo area for the past nine months, and I really enjoy coming here. My child loves to run around and explore all the animals, which is always a delight.

I visited the restaurant on a Friday evening, July 26, 2024, at 6 PM, and it was bustling with people. Fortunately, our group of four was seated immediately. Despite the crowd, our drinks and appetizers arrived promptly, followed by our entrees just as quickly. Everything we ordered was excellent, and the perch was particularly fantastic.

I ordered the perch basket, which came with three generous strips of fish. My daughter had a chef salad, and it was a sizable portion. My son enjoyed the chicken strip basket, while my husband opted for a rather large burger. Our server was exceptionally friendly and took the time to engage with my 5-year-old when he asked her questions, which was delightful. It was also fascinating to see all the taxidermy on display. The large parking lot is located behind the building, and the dining and bar area is very family-friendly.
