Darceys Grilled - Newcastle upon Tyne

Oh my goodness! I had the vegan cheese melt and it was incredible! I specifically traveled to the train station to try it, and it was absolutely worth it. The bread is beautifully crisp, while the cheese has a lovely chewy texture. I would recommend trying the chili chutney; it doesn't pack a lot of heat, but it adds a delightful touch of sweetness.

This is a lovely spot for a quick snack at Newcastle train station. Nicola and Craig, the owners, are fantastic, and they offer an excellent variety of grilled cheese sandwiches and snacks, including options for vegetarians and vegans! I make it a point to stop by for a toastie whenever I’m there, and I highly recommend it over the chain options in the station.

I only wish I had been hungry enough to try the grilled cheese sandwich. Instead, I enjoyed a free donut with my sharp cup of tea, which cost £1.40. My server was very chatty and knowledgeable about everything in Newcastle. He works long hours at this kiosk and treats every customer like royalty. They really ought to pay him more!

Lovely staff, very polite and friendly; nice food and awesome caffè Lavazza. Strategic position and fair price, must say that the coffee is even better that many italian lavazza point! Tnx!
