The Sloppy Waffle - Newington

Absolutely delicious food. My son had the peanut butter cup waffle, my dad had the chicken and waffle, and I split an omelet with my daughter.Even the plain buttered toast was INCREDIBLE. We can't wait to go back!!

The food is amazing, when it arrives you are not going to be impressed until you start eating and your brain is like wow?, this food is delicious. I usually don’t eat all food but believe it or not I finished my food? and I started eating off my boyfriend plate ?. I definitely will be sharing this restaurant with my friends and family. First time here and was definitely pleased with the apple cobbler waffle! After seeing it on their menu I absolutely had to try it and was not disappointed! I was surprised to see there was more to the building than what you see from the road. They had an adorable patio set up in the back. My friend and I have been trying a new breakfast place every time we get together all over newington and wethersfield and this is the first place we found that we cannot wait to go back to! Can't wait to try something else next time!

The service here was not the best, we had barely any attention, no silver wear no napkins, i was offered ketchup and never recived it. The food is fine cant complain but the food was served to us on paper plates and the food was not cheap for 2 adult meals 2 kids meals and 3 jucies it was 80 dollars. Our food also took 45 minutes before we got the first plate and about an hour since we recived all the food.

You’re going to walk in and be asked to stand in line to be seated, but you’re in line with people who are picking up and ordering take out orders. You will be seated and told that “how it works is when you’re ready to order you’ll go back into that same line to place your order and tell them what section you’re sitting in”. We stood in that line for 20 minutes before placing our order and having to pay upfront. There is a fee for not paying with cash. We were charged an additional $2.13. For drinks we ordered orange juice which was already prepared in cups to go for $3.75/ea. Next we walked over to the drink counter where we prepared our own coffee and water. When the food arrived we were served on paper plates. My daughter spit out the pancake which prompted me to try it and it was worst than microwaveable pancakes. The strawberry and crème waffle was disgusting. When I asked to speak to a manager I waited 15 minutes and she never came to the table. As I was walking up to the counter to request to speak with the manager again, other customers walking out had the same complaints. I explained to the manager my concerns and she asked if I wanted something else, but I was not interested in ordering anything else. She said she offers a gift card, but I wouldn’t be going back there. If you’re looking to be served, this is not the place to be.
