It's a pub, and I absolutely love it! One of the few remaining local spots! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the bar staff have that perfectly grumpy demeanor. The food is classic pub fare—no frills, just good solid grub. The locals are vibrant and friendly! I couldn’t ask for anything more in a pub; it’s definitely the best in Newport!

Thursday night at Squat is fantastic! The atmosphere is wonderful, and there's some brilliant banter from Mark, the quiz master. The staff are incredibly friendly, making it a great night out for just £1.

Located near the Newport County football pitch, this place offers a great selection of beers and food. They also provide Sky Sports, which is perfect for catching live games. I enjoyed watching the Celtic vs. Hearts match on the final day of the championship season. It's worth noting that to be part of the championship, one must have some connection to Cardiff!
