Bj's Ice Cream - Newport

After looking at review photos, I realized I'm not the only one who thought it was a great idea to pose with my ice cream cone in front of their door sign! To be honest, I had been walking back up the street after spontaneously deciding I wanted ice cream on this nice day, and this place was just what I needed! I opted for a combination of the Grasshopper flavor (mint with mint Oreo bits!) and S'mores, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. Now I can't stop craving it! Everything was simple and well-organized, and they had a cute selection of taffy, with a friendly and quick cashier. I will definitely return when I get the chance! 9/18/22

If you find yourself in Newport, you absolutely have to make a stop here for ice cream. It's a must-visit! They offer an extensive variety of delicious flavors that I just can't get enough of. My all-time favorite is the S'mores flavor.

The dessert was creamy and full of flavor, and they really give you a generous portion! I tried the Coffee Caramel Cookie flavor, while my friend went for the Coconut Crunch. Both were delicious! The service was great as well. Inside, there was a delightful aroma of fresh taffy and waffles. However, don’t be misled by the name "Bittersweet Nugget." It's just chocolate ice cream with regular hard chocolate chips, nothing extraordinary. Still, it’s not bad at all.

We were glad the shop was open on a Sunday. The service was good. Husband got a brownie, wish there had been more brownie less frosting. And I got the salt water taffy. Half the flavors I got were too sticky to come off the wrapping, the half that wasmade well was awesome. We will be back, and try the ice cream.

Great ice cream, ultra friendly staff. Best location we?ve been to. Salted caramel and blue moon were my flavors of choice- highly recommend both. But get one scoop?. ONE SCOOP= 2 scoops TWO SCOOPS =4. I recommend one scoop !!!!
