Wooden Cask Brewing Company - Newport

Had to choke down the Hazy, not even close. Great space, atmosphere, and location. Service wasn’t very good either.

I've been here a few times. I've enjoyed myself both times. Very laid-back atmosphere. About two or three blocks from Newport on the levee. Great bourbon, selection and cocktail selection as well as a craft brewery. The beer has been excellent. Many different styles, including stouts, porters and berry infused, beers. They have food as well. I have not tried it, but it looks delicious. Highly recommend if you are going to a Reds or Bengals game or near Newport on the levee.

Our second time to stop here for beer and dinner, and we will definitely come back! the beer selection is good, and all we had was solid beer ipas and dark beer can not go wrong. what we were really impressed was the food beards and bellies barbecue. I had a side of brisket that was fantastic. my vegetarian woman shared the veggie option afteros, the kartoffel salad and the broccoli salad. they were all amazing. if they are a “mixed” family like us (vegetarian and omnivore), this is a great option!

Down on the Levee there was a really nice young woman working and recommended some great beers. Overall the beers really do beat the ambiance. The lack of TVs and continuous throwback rock gets old after a while. If you are looking for great beer and service this is the place, but good luck trying to watch the bengals here on Sunday.
