Bluefin Fine Japanese Cuisine

We sat at the sushi bar, and the experience was amazing. All the sushi was so fresh, and our sushi chef was a master!

Outstanding sushi. I heartily recommend the chef’s sushi omikase menu. Lychee martini was good too.

For high quality Japanese cuisine, from small plates to omakase this is the best you’ll find in SoCal. A family favorite for over 10years, lunch, dinner or takeaway, with friendly service and sushi chefs with personality and respect. Love this place!

Sushi was great, but only one piece per order. Crab dumplings were fantastic. Portions are on the small side. I guess rice is extra, as it didn't come with any of our entrees. Loved the albacore app and lychee martini though! Waitress said the outside tables had to be reserved in advance so unfortunately we sat indoors even though the weather was fantastic.

I recently visited Bluefin with high hopes, thanks to its renowned chef. However, my experience fell short of expectations. I opted for the sushi omakase, expecting an extraordinary culinary adventure. Instead, all the sushi arrived on one plate, lacking the personalized touch that defines omakase. The sushi itself was just average, and the excessive wasabi overpowered the flavors. Unfortunately, a couple of people in my group felt unwell afterward.The restaurant's ambiance was poor and noisy, making it hard to enjoy the meal fully. Although the staff was friendly, they could benefit from additional training to enhance their service.Overall, I can't recommend Bluefin. The mediocre sushi, noisy environment, and average experience left me disappointed. I hope the restaurant takes these points into consideration for improvement.
