Lenape Lodge - Newton

This is not a place you think it is. Extremely tense and unfriendly. Stopped by to grab dinner on my way to PA but unfortunately I couldn 't. Stayed for about 20 minutes, after being completely ignored decided to leave. The worst part, I guess, was hearing get the f*ck out behind my back as I was leaving (I 'm not even sure if bartender said that or a guest). Was it a racial issue? (I 'm not white), was bartender having a really bad day? Who the heck knows. In any case fascinating.

McQ's bar/restaurant... BBQ wings...blackened salmon with mashed potatos and fresh veggies...delious! However the poched pear in Port wine with vanilla icecream was absolutely fantastic! It is a must have! Ask for a table in the back with a view of the lake...staff is great and and friendly!

We love this place! We usually come for a late lunch on Fridays. The food has been consistently great. The renovations are completed and the place is truly charming and beautifully done in a lakeside rustic yet modern fashion. The service is wonderful, especially our personal favorite, Romy! She is lovely and friendly and makes us feel special every time we dine there. We’re going to have to come on Thursday evenings now for prime rib because Romy is moving from Friday to Thursday shifts, among others. Highly recommended and I almost forgot to mention the lovely lake view.

Excellent food, nice remodeling. The view in the rear is beautiful. Robin the bartender took care of us, and this is a super cozy spot for those who are looking for the rustic cabin type place that's super clean inside.

Happened by Lenape Lodge and pulled in for lunch. The pork bbq taco appetizer is easily enough for a meal for two. Bar with pool table and darts are in the back. Very friendly folks! Add this to your list of ‘off the beaten path.’
