Jake's Eatery Newtown

Amazing food and service! We were seated promptly (especially for a Sunday brunch) and our drinks and meals arrived quickly. Overall, I was very impressed.

I had heard so many positive things about this restaurant, but I ended up feeling quite disappointed. During lunch, the hostess was reluctant to provide us with a table, claiming it was too uncomfortable for her, even though there were plenty of empty tables available. My friend’s order was mistaken, and instead of the canned walnuts I expected on my salad, I received crushed walnut bits from the bottom of the bag, all covered in sugar. It was really unpleasant.

Jake's is a classic hometown dining spot. It's not fancy, but it serves honest, delicious food that's made with care and attention. The prices are great, and the choices are always solid. It's definitely one of my favorite places!

You usually eat at the Jake?s in Richboro. Server didn't really seem to care that we were there. The minimum work has been done. I had to get napkins and a lead box. I think her fingers can fly on a phone, but her longest sentence was five words. The food was good.

The food and prices are good. The service from the staff do an excellent job with their customers. I have been there several times and each waiter/waitresses have been excellent. Very friendly atmosphere. What I am disappointed in is that I wasn?t even out the door and came back in less then five minutes later due to leaving my container of my leftovers on our table. That fast it was gone. I asked one of the bus boys if he put my container to the side that I just left. He said no because when they?re busy, he just throws them in the trash. The problem is, at this time, no one was waiting to be seated and there were empty tables. So, his answer wasn?t true about being busy at that time. That wasn?t an acceptable answer, and he knew I wasn?t happy, but it didn?t bother him. The bus boy needs to show more responsibility, and show he was to blame. I take a tiny bit of responsibility for leaving it behind, but no way should it have been disposed of that fast.
