Moffatt Restaurant & Pub

Restaurant was good when it was open. It is now closed and who knows for what reason. They had fish and chip Fridays and a nice pub atmosphere. Jimmie Lai decided to close it. Hopefully, he will renovate and reopen.

We passed near the place by car after we decided prices for restaurants and pubs on the main street we're way to high.Food was good (burger, fish and chips). there was even a daily dish that was served with beer for really cheap.glad we stopped the car near the sign!

Upon the recommendation of Easy Street Sandwiches and Treats in Niagara Falls, Canada (went their earlier for lunch for fish & chips only to find out only served on Friday - it was Wednesday) we went to Moffat Restaurant & Pub for their Fish & Chips. The meal was wonderful and just what I was craving. I hadn't had fish & chips this good since traveling to England 7 years ago.

The Moffatt Restaurant had great Fish & Chips but for some reason closed last Fall and never reopened. Hopefully someone will take over the spot and revitalize it.

I would suggest going out to eat rather than at the Moffat Inn. The Pub was very quaint & the drinks were good (although overpriced like everything in NOTL). The service was "ok"...nothing special. Mostly snacks & finger foods. Not the best place to go if you're looking for a nice dinner out.
