Bidra med feedbackSo good we went twice, great Brie baguette, quiche, lots of pastry delights and treats, little expensive, but well worth a visit
Four stars because I didn’t get to try everything. When in Lyon, stop by and try for yourself. The places offers it all, and if we weren't on a tight schedule I would have made an effort to try it all. The streets outside are filled with the air of this gem, how can you not want to try everything in the windows. Grab a treat and stroll the cross streets the stone work is wonderful and snap a couple pictures of the shop, because you will miss it once you get back home. My pictures are taken from in front of the shop off to the right. Lots of hidden gem in Lyon and this shop is tops on my list
Don’t miss trying the pain au raisin and the pistachio pastry! Delicious. Granted service with a smile would be nice but I’ll forgo that for the freshness of the pastries!
Have been in Nice numerous times but never visited as the awful neon sign put me off. However, as I’m staying next door I’m pleased to say I was wrong! The bread (petite paysanne) is fantastic as is the pissaladiere so far the best I’ve ever had in the south. Croissants are pretty good too but there are better nearby.
I had an experience here very similar to one previously posted. The goods on display look very inviting, with a range of croissant, pastries, viennese etc. However, the customer service here is appalling. Having paid with a €20, i was given change as if I had paid with a €10. When this was pointed out, an argument followed and I was told that they would have to check the security footage, which seemingly took forever. A tourist with much less time on their hands may well have given up and forfeited their correct change, but I had plenty of time on my hands and was prepared to wait. Once they conceded that they were in the wrong, a colourful line of vitriol followed. My sense is that this is a well rehearsed stunt designed to dupe unsuspecting/unaware tourists. My advice... there are plenty of other boulangerie around here, so if you are a novice or feel uncomfortable with using Euro or ordering in French, avoid this place... they will rip you off if they can.
