Booby's - Niles

Came here after working out, looking for something healthy. Grilled chicken dinner had tons of protein. Highly recommend adding one or two more healthy sides and appeal to another audience.

This local establishment has been doing business in the same location for 62 years. There is a reason for their longevity: they do things the right way. The menu is sufficient enough to offer something for everyone. The restaurant is clean, if not real upscale and trendy. The washrooms are immaculate. The glass at the entry isn 't covered in hand prints all the time because it is being cleaned as necessary. There are TV 's so that you can watch as you dine if interested. My wife and I have lived in the immediate area for 15 years and Booby 's is a frequent choice for us. We have enjoyed a majority of their menu options over the years and while all good I do have some favorites. The onion rings are to die for. The cheese fries are fabulous. I love their soup. Their milk shakes, especially strawberry, are wonderfully tasty without being overly sweet and artificial tasting. Gyros, Fajitas, BLT, Corned Beef, Chicken Parmigiana sandwich... all really delicious. And then there are the burgers. They 're big and charbroiled, juicy and perfectly cooked. I love the BigC as burgers are probably my all time favorite food. I 'd rather enjoy ONE of these treats every week or two than a fast food burger daily. I ask for condiments and tomato/pickles on the side so that I can control how much of it goes on the burger. I love the type of pickles they use as opposed to the standard hamburger pickles, and the tomatoes are always really nice. You just can 't go wrong here. Highly recommended!

I don't have a picture that's how good it was. I have driven by this place a thousand times and have never been a customer. Today I had a taste for ribs and ordered thru Grubhub. The ribs were delicious, the baked potato was perfect, the coleslaw was amazing. I will definitely be a regular customer from now onFood: 5/5

I am very disappointed at my experience this weekend. I looked forward when in Chicago to come here and eat.This week I was greeted very rude by the front staff. There was no greeting at the counter just a hurry up and place your order. When asking for some extra 5 cents bbq sauce it was treated like there was an issue. I was told you have some on your sandwich. Now as I sit and watch the interactions of other customers they were treated like Gold. I have never had this experience at Booby’s before .It was always pleasant.They really need to work on the new staff during lunch hours on customer service. Needless to say my complexion is a little different than the other guest I saw treated like Gold.Mr.Owner please work on your staff to provide a pleasant experience for any customers no matter the color of there skin.No human has control of the color of there skin.Someone of a different race could possibly save your life.

The menu did not enumerate what came on a cheeseburger. I naïvely assumed it would be the fairly standard selection: ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, maybe onion…I was not expecting grilled onions, pickles, a scoop of coleslaw, and nothing else.Some people in the dining room got porcelain plates, and metal tableware. I got a styrofoam plate. I have no idea how that was decided.The ambiance was a neighborhood fixture where families and little league teams go. Which is really nice.
