kurPalais - Norderney

We stayed twice at the Kurpalais, once in the evening for a drink in the beautiful bar room with a magnificent luster, once for breakfast. Both times we were very satisfied: drinks delicious, breakfast excellent and the service very attentive. Especially pleasant: there is no music trick. Both the bar room and the open café area in the conversation house have a great atmosphere. proposal for improvement;: It would be great if there were at least a few snacks after 6:00 to the drinks and if it were just something to pick up.

Unfortunately, the operation during our visit was rather stressed and very little turned. So unfortunately only two points. That's better.

Top location, at the spa park, the legendary “Kurpalais-Conversationshaus”. During my vacation, I have been there a few times, where I only drank. Very good fresh, brewed teas, which are very good for me. The staff is friendly, but sometimes not available for a long time. On 15.10. I was there again to eat a little bite. I ordered a “Caesar” salad with maish chicken. I waited for the ordered plate. When he was standing in front of me, I had to find that the poultry was fried completely dead. In order not to complain groundless, I took a little bit. The meat was so dry that it was almost in my throat. I waved the waiter to me and told him the situation. He took the plate without hesitation and said, "we will judge them a new plate". He didn't wait long. With amazement I already saw that the second maish chicken unfortunately also died for free. Again it was roasted and extremely dry. I left the poultry on the plate again, ate the barely seasoned salad and then wanted to pay. Of course, the cellar got to hear my comment about the poultry, with the remark that of course he has no influence on it. He took the full price for the salad plate and gave me a cappuccino on the house as compensation. My Resümee is: Beverages good, eat somewhere else!

Small dishes and drinks in the best location at the spa. The price-performance ratio is right, the service is nice and in the evening you have a beautiful sunny position here in summer. Snack plate Mediterranean and North Sea were rich and more than enough for a nice dinner. At the same time, the toilet is also the public toilet in the Conversation House, which has not disturbed us. Aperol Spray quite expensive (8.50 Euro) compared to rubbing cakes with smoked salmon (9.90 Euro), but you have that yourself in your hand. Recommended.

For days of high summer temperatures, but around 11.30h only a few tables a parasol has been stretched on, no idea whether you were planning to set up further sun protection at the sun tables in the midday heat has taken no place. So there were several empty tables! Aside from the fact that the store has made a lot of revenue, it is disappointing for the customer to find so little seat in the high season at the central square of Norderneys and therefore eating options. We finally drank our birthday drink at home.
