Pier99 - Nordhorn

I was recently disappointed by Pier 99. Last time we were there, we waited almost two hours for our food, which was not the one we had ordered. In general, you have the impression that the staff is badly involved, but always very friendly. The prices are good.

The location of the restaurant alone would be worth a recommendation on a sunny day. Located directly on Lake Vechte you can observe the sunset on the water from a part of the restaurant through the glass front. However, the location is not the only plus point that pier 99 can collect. Although the selection of food and beverages for my taste is a somewhat too wide range, which includes meat, fish, pizza, pasta and others, where vegetarian dishes are also clearly underrepresented for me, one or other good idea is available. The gnocchi with pesto filling in Gorgonzola sauce and Parmesan are a good example. And very important, it's really delicious! The courts were also very successful. Top for guests with children: pens, coloring pages and other small items are available to keep the little ones in the mood. A chair was offered to us without demand and brought to the table. Only the service was in many respects of improvement, e.g. in terms of friendliness.

I didn't have to wait for an operation. The food Pier99 (noodle dish) was nicely dressed and also tasted great. The atmosphere is beautiful for young and old. This location is nicely decorated. A carmine is the eye-catcher, as well as the adjacent Vechtesee. The beach baskets on the sand floor invite you to stay in the fresh air. Tip! On weekends, a table reservation is advantageous.

The food was super tasty, nothing to complain about! The staff was friendly, but unfortunately our waiter was very easily irritated. He seemed very impatient and annoyed when I had to translate for my non-German speaking friend. Restaurant is a bit too dark for my taste, but it's definitely bearable!
