Dr. Thompson`s - Nordrhein-Westfalen

Big industrial place, nice decoration and live music on weekends. Nice salads, and very good self BBQ.

The athmosfere is really cozy, but you can go also with friends. Meat cooked by you. Wine is good, sad by me,italian ;-). I appreciate it a lot.

Dr. Thompsons is yet another of those establishments which take all the appropriate steps ensuring that everthing and everybody looks the part but totally forgets to train the staff suffiently. Yes the staff all look cool with their tattoos, piercings and tailored beards but I don't particularly enjoy waiting for the winelist to arrive when my starter is already on the table. For our main dish we ordered the seafood platter which should have come with lobster, prawns, coquilles St Jacques and Octopus. What the waitstaff failed to do was inform us that Lobster was not available but instead brought the dish to the able only to tell us then. To compensate the lack of Lobster the chef added more of the other items. Full marks for effort but epic fail on customer service.Anyway, dinner Dr. Thompsons could have been really good but the evening was spoilt by badly trained staff which at the prices they charge is quite unacceptable.

When you arive, you think were are we? The diner is in an old factory, wow, looks fantastic and the music gives the place a superb atmosphere! The staff works really hard to give you a great evening. And the food, wine and beer are makes it complete for great night out to finish in the disco!

If you have visit or somebody(ies) you would like to surprise, this is definitely one of the best places in Düsseldorf. Good food and very nice service, top location but slightly too expensive and poor spanish wine offering given their price (factor 3-4...).
