Bidra med feedbackHad salt and pepper Calamari, very tasty and fresh. Nice side salad accompanied. Staff pleasant and helpful. Like most Norfolk Island restaurants picturesque, dated environment.
Wow this place was such a surprise from the moment I made a table through the nice friendly girl at the reception then to come meeting Sam that made our night amazing. He was really such a humble, gentle giant that made the most amazing cocktails everyone felt like family. I have tried most cocktails on the island of Sams are definitely the best!!! As he worked with everyone, even us, as if we were a family, we felt so welcome. We even managed to squeeze some delicious food in a dessert, that was just as good. I just wish they were open another night/day during our stay, as we definitely have dinner again for some great cocktails. Please try this place, I assure you, you will not be disappointed. Thank you.
We had dinner at this restaurant and although the service was slow because there was only one person taking care of the room, the meal was excellent. We ordered the Kingfish shrimp on mashed potatoes and vegetables, and it was probably the best meal of our trip to Norfolk. So, we decided to return last night. However, it was a big mistake. We ordered the same food and it was terrible. The shrimp was undercooked and the fish was overcooked. There was bacon in the mashed potatoes. We found out that the chef was new, which explained the difference in quality and was very disappointing.
We noticed that the restaurant was understaffed with only one person responsible for seating, waiting, bar service, taking orders, and handling payments. They should definitely consider hiring additional staff. The meal was mediocre, but the ambiance was pleasant.
We were well looked after by Sam, thoroughly enjoyed our meals, I had a chicken stir-fry from the specials board and Hubby had prawns in creamy sauce with rice.. could have done with another prawn or two, a smallish meal for a guy. A pleasant...night out sitting on the outer table with a breeze.
