Bulldog Ale House - North Aurora

If you order boneless wings on a Sunday they’re just gonna give you chicken nuggets with sauce. I’m not even kidding literally chicken nuggets. So disappointing.

Delivering freight nearby and thought this looked like a great place for lunch. Not impressed at all. I ordered a variety of items to try. The boneless wings were right on par for what you would expect, out of bag, cooked fine. Sauces were fair but not anything you 'd come back for. Had blue cheese, teriyaki, and BBQ. All pretty basic and a little bland. Came with fries that were cooked well, but again just bag fries, nothing special. Had the bulldog burger which looked fantastic and was cooked nicely. So imagine the disappointment when I bit into and it was bland and totally unseasoned. The blue cheese on it was so thin it just ran off onto the plate and made a soggy mess. The bottom bun was just soggy and soft. The top of the pretzel bun was tasty but otherwise unremarkable. House made coleslaw was also under seasoned and basically just sliced cabbage. Very little slaw mix of any kind in it for flavor. The house made garlic mash potatoes, also totally flavorless and served cold. The highlight of this lunch was my incredible waitress Cynthia!! She was attentive, kept my drink full, checked back numerous times and had an all around great personality!! If I had a restaurant in the area I would most definitely steal her!! She would be the only reason I 'd return here. And then I 'd just order the boneless wings or something else they didn 't make in house and that I would not have high expectations of to begin with!

Had an outstanding lunch at Bulldog's while visiting the Fox Valley. They offer some very interesting burger combos. If you can get there before the lunch rush, do. Onion rings were perfect.

Aiden S. was maybe the best server i’ve ever had! and that is coming from a server. he was attentive, quick, and thoughtful. food and service were perfect!

This place has gone so far downhill over the past year. I used to love coming here and enjoyed the food quality and service, but now they’ve done a complete 180. Food is often undercooked, over salted, and the availability of items are spotty at best. Came in for the “all you can eat” fish fry and they supposedly ran out after our first order. Whoever is managing this place is doing a shameful job of it.
