Lou Dawg's Southern Bbq North Bay

I wanted a pulled pork sandwich, Wife has been after me to eat healthier, decided on the vegan Pulled Jack fruit, was it a healthier option can't tell you, sure was good,I.Vegetarian options: Pulled Jack fruits

On a recent camping trip I decided to try something new for a meal to go, and not a chain restaurant so I found Lou Dawgs in North Bay.First impression was good, it's a cool looking restaurant, lots of wood. Country theme bar is how it felt. The service was excellent, I don't know the ladies name behind the bar but she was extremely good at her job and made me feel welcome. Very kind and helpful.The food was good. I had the three meat platter. The brisket was PERFECTLY cooked. Tender and even the fat on it was edible and melted in my mouth. The pulled pork was tender and not fatty. The fried chicken was juicy and boneless, I wonder if it was thigh maybe...it was good too! The corn bread muffin was moist and fresh and the two dinner rolls were very fresh. pickled onions were tasty and the mac and cheese was creamy and a nice side for the meal......MY ONLY COMPLAINT: where is the BBQ sauce? A tangy, spicy BBQ sauce would go so great with this meal. Like it would perfect it. There wasn't any that I could see so small disappointment.Would I go back? Yes, but I would ask for BBQ sauce if it's available.

Entered the restaurant to some local live music which was nice to hear. Can't say for certain if their meat selection is smoked on-site, but I've had more tender brisket and ribs elsewhere. A disappointment was serving processed cheese slices with the Triple grilled cheese and brisket sandwich (not listed in Google's dish selection). Atmosphere is nice and staff was friendly.

Food was not good. Seems like they aren't even serving what is ordered on the menu. The descriptions of the food do not match what you get. They seem to be using the cheapest of ingredients and skimping everywhere possible. The fish and chips was the worst ive ever been served anywhere. Like No Frills brand fish dropped into a deep fryer and overcooked.I heard good things about this place but from a friend that cant fry an egg to save his life.

Food was cold and tasteless no sauce on the pulled pork brisket was all fat no taste. Fried chicken was over cooked and unedible. Server was awful was more interested in friends than checking in on his tables.
