Captain's Choice Fish House

The chowder was pretty good. The fish wasn't great. Next time I'll just get chowder. Server was efficient and I will go back. Just won't get fish and chowder again. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Food was bland. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it came with no noodles just 5 shrimp thrown in a box with some squash and mashed potatoes that were so salty I couldn 't eat them.. when I called and asked why my scampi didn 't have noodles as it states in the menu, I could hear the waitress that took our order over the phone saying yeah i messed it up what does he want me to do about it . Never going back again.. Service: Take out

This place was so great!!! My husband and I were on a PCH road trip, and this restaurant was close to the hotel we stayed at, and weren't we so lucky!!! I had a crab melt, and my husband had fish and chips. They were both AMAZING meals, but be warned, they have pretty large portions. The only negative was that we couldn't eat all of it and weren't able to take it with us!!! The wait time was quick , maybe 10 or 15 minutes, and we ordered at the restaurant as opposed to calling our order in. We were there on a week night, but it was fairly busy, and there was a steady stream of folks in and out!! I guess some of the locals liked it as much as we did!! Edit: How on the world did I forget to say how amazing the staff was!!! We'd never been there, so the (hostess? at the front counter told us about some of the more popular items, had recommendations for us, and was just genuinely friendly!
