Smitty's Brickhouse - North Bend

Awesome smoked half chicken and homemade mashed potatoes and gravy great meal.

I feel a bit bad writing this as I want this place to be successful, however, things need to improve for Smitty 's to be successful in town. The good: the food. More often then not the food is good for bar food. The negative: Service continues to lack. We arrived and walked right by the bar. The only server was eating a bowl of soup and didnt attempt to come over. Phone rang and she answered that but didnt welcome our party nor come to the table right away despite not being busy when we came in. Service continued to be slow after that. Ordered our drinks and my sons came out 10 minutes after the rest. Ordered our food with onion rings to come out first. They came AFTER two of our meals had come out. On that note, two meals come out followed by the other two 7 minutes later. The wait for food was roughly 35 minutes which isnt terrible compared to other visits. When we were leaving there were several large groups and only two servers. on a Friday night two servers isnt sufficient to handle the possible crowd. Maybe help can 't be found but this needs to be addressed. The owners are nice people and are trying. However, the problems we 've had since they opened continue to be the same. Several friends won 't go back due to continued slow, less than ideal customer service. It 's tough to compete with a very well established restaurant in town and another food joint (bowling alley) that has improved leaps and bounds since they opened.

Service terrible. Came here for Illinois game. Told food service was 30 to 40 minute wait when only 13 tables in the place. Under staffed. Kitchen in shambles. Owners don’t have a clue. Absolutely would not recommend.
