Bidra med feedbackThe food at Panera was, as always, quite good. However, several items on the menu were unavailable, so we had to pick something different. There was a very long line that stretched to the door, and it took about 10 minutes for us to finally place our order. The poor woman at the counter was handling everything on her own—taking orders, preparing food, answering phone calls, and more. Fortunately, our food was ready relatively quickly after we ordered. We visited at 11:30 on a Saturday.
This is a nice Panera Bread location. Overall, the service is quick and efficient. It tends to get quite busy during lunchtime, which may not make it the best spot for working. However, the restaurant is clean and well-maintained.
I would rate this restaurant 3 stars, not due to poor service, but because my smoothie took an unusually long 35 minutes to arrive. The manager was very accommodating and offered free cookies and drinks to all the waiting customers, but there were only two staff members on duty during peak hours. He handled the situation well, but if you're looking for a quick meal, this might not be the best choice for you.
I placed my order on 5:59 with an estimated pick-up time of 6:09. I was there at 6:11, but my food was not given to me until near 6:30. Just so that my order was ready behind the? Fast pickup counter? where it was until I had to ask. I understand that every short staff is, but if the opponent/Cashier has no guests and repeatedly makes eye contact with someone who obviously needs an order for 20 minutes, they should take initiative and see if they can help. Unfortunately, I had a sleeping (sick) child in my vehicle for the duration that just wanted a hot soup so that I could check my order right then and there. Luckily, she was the only one to get good food. Sandwiches ( roasted beef/grilled cheese) were cold and very soggy, salad was also warm before soup. Loading harmful prices should guarantee at least a certain degree of expectation in food quality/performance.
Panera Bread...it's in the name...bread. Once a place teaming with pastries galore, well, you see what was available on my last visit. And by last visit, I mean my absolute last visit. So I decided to order food...a simple soup bread bowl and chicken salad. What I received was the smallest bread possible to be used as a bowl and soup, which was decent, that didn't even fill half of it. As for the chicken salad, once I opened the container I was excited to see it full, until I pulled off all of the garnish and was left with only a few table spoons of chicken salad. What was the response of the staff...portion control...it's all about portion control. And when my daughter received an outdated yogurt, we returned it just to have the staff go back to the fridge to retrieve a fresh newly expired one and gave it to my daughter. Definitely not worth the price I paid and most assuredly not worth my time. My experience is just for the International Blvd location in North Charleston...I can't speak on any other location...yet.
