The Swan - North East Derbyshire

Went midweek about not been for a long time even though only a minutes drive away. It as very busy so a good job we booked beforehand, we sat down after ordering our drinks of half pint of cider and lager at After deciding what we wanted, I went back to the bar and ordered our food. I had chicken and mushroom pie with chips and mushy peas at my wife had the lasagne, chips and salad at both being very nice and plentiful. The pub is in the countryside but on the outskirts of sheffield with a nice and warm relaxing atmosphere.

It’s not very good as before cloudy beer means cloudy beer stop trying to fob customers off, eventually they change it but what hard work to do so three girls ganging up trying to convince me the beer would settle. girls having girly chit...chat not paying enough attention to your customers.The meat and potatoes pie was very average served with chips Mainly scraps I’m wondering if it’s changed hands because this place is not like it used to be I always loved it here but now I’m disappointed

Amazing food amazing service! Staff couldn’t do enough for us, pies are to die for!! Portions very generous too. Can’t recommend enough

Just want to give some appreciation for this lovely little pub myself, my partner and my family have visited a number of times. We’re always blown away by the quality of ingredients used in the pies. It’s now becoming a weekly revisit that we throughly...look forward to and delivers every time. Service friendly and efficient and lovely warm atmosphere. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Visited with my partner for some lunch and the place wasn’t very busy.. staff didn’t seem Welcoming at all. Food prices have gone up but quality has nose dived. Burger was like something from a burger van and fish batter tasted horrible, cheap shop bought...onion rings. Chips were really nice though. The waiter threw the plates on the table and dashed off to see to another customer without even asking if our meals were okay or if we needed anything else. Felt a bit disappointed to be honest!
