The San Fernando - North Glendale

I went to the bar with a group of friends (4 females). Each of us ordered one drink, and at the end of the night when we asked for the check, the bartender put everything on one bill. When I asked if the bill could be split up, the bartender freaked out, saying "seriously, you're making me do this" and was very rude. The tone was shocking, and my friends and I couldn't believe he was speaking to us in such a manner. I understand he was the only person working, but that does not excuse his unprofessional behavior. If he was busy, he could have just said so instead of yelling at us. As we left the bar, one of my friends went back to tell the bartender we did not appreciate his tone and felt he treated us that way because we were females. The bartender did not apologize and simply walked away as my friend was talking to him. I will never go back to this bar and do not recommend it for females.

The hummus was fantastic and a hit with everyone in the group. The wings were just okay. The service was excellent and the patio area was lovely. However, the noise from passing trains was a bit disruptive. The indoor seating was cozy. We didn't try any drinks, so we can't comment on that.

We absolutely adored this bar. The staff were incredibly friendly and the cocktails were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be making a stop at Glendale for a few drinks the next time we visit LA. Thank you for the warm welcome. Sincerely, The Londoners.

Fantastic spot to gather with a group or just a date. The patio is super night, plenty of heaters and lit well, in a comfortable and inviting way. The service is TOP notch and the drinks and food were great. We had had a midsized group last night and they were all super nice to us, very attentive and it’s couldn’t have been a better experience. Highly recommended!

I've been coming to the San Fernando since it opened and it's truly a gem. There is something so cozy and comfortable about the space. I have it on my short list of crowd-pleasers for when people are visiting from out of town or are unsure what they're in the mood for. So when organizing a holiday get together fell to me and a couple friends, The San Fernando quickly rose to the top of venue possibilities. I must say the staff really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and were warm and accommodating. It really made a huge difference and everyone in our party remarked on how lovely everything was. They have lice music many nights of the week and a heated, covered patio. The cocktails are delicious. The menu has an array of options and the vegans in our group were able to get some tasty veggie sliders. The empanadas are a favorite of mine. Give them a try!
