The service at this restaurant was excellent, with attentive staff who were quick to take our orders and always checked in on us throughout the meal. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy, with dim lighting and soft music playing in the background. Overall, a great dining experience!

A lovely Sunday lunch. Just there in time after our visit to Hitchin Lavender fields. Don't get out much these days because just like everyone else we've had to tighten our belts so this was a friendly, welcoming place for a spot of lunch. Highly recommend the roast beef. Parking: After driving in and finding no space was a little awkward backing back out. Found a place in a nearby street. This was my first visit to this restaurant and it was excellent. The beer was good and the atmosphere was exactly what I look for in a pub - no loud music or sports on TV, just good conversations. I will definitely be returning! The parking lot has approximately 12 spaces and the price per person is between £10 and £20. The service and atmosphere both receive a rating of 5. There are free parking options available, either in the parking lot or on the street.

Lovely old building, staff were friendly and there's plenty of space. They were doing a special BBQ event so the normal food was unavailable, so on that basis I won't score the food. We'll be back! Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We used to love going to the Old George, especially for their Sunday roast. However we found that over the past few months their prices have increased a lot. We went last week and we spent over £30 per person for a roast and a pint, which seems excessive. The food was lovely, but the portions were a bit scarce, especially for the vegetables, only a few green beans and a couple of potatoes.
