Beyond meat salad bowl, very good and flavorable. Will definitely purchase again.

3 stars because I called just to make sure they were open because the day after Christmas they was closed I told the girl that I would be up there she just hung up in my face so I will never return.

I went in not knowing what to expect as based on the extremely positive and some extremely negative reviews. The service was very pleasant. The person who came out of the kitchen to greet me when I entered was kind enough to explain the menu to me since I had some concerns based on the fact that I don't eat beyond products. She was very patient and showed me the tofu as well as tempeh rib and salad options. I had the ribs dinner which was decent and obviously cooked with a lot of heart attention to detail.I found the food to be quite pricey, especially for the very basic bare bones ambiance, location, fact that it is not table service, and that it seems to be trying to appeal to people of a modest income.I would return to try another item made in-house and maybe the mac n' cheese, which they were out of, and because it's quite crucial to support local, socially and environmentally conscience businesses.

The veggies on the burgers are never fresh. The burger tasted as if it were fried in old oil. They should do better with how the food is handled here. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t pass their next health inspection. I’ve tried this place maybe 3 or 4 times over the last year and the lettuce on the burger has NEVER been fresh. They need to do better. Please zoom in on photo. You will see neither the tomato nor the lettuce is fresh. Yuck——Above the line is what I wrote prior to the review. I am adding this to address a misleading “point” made in the reply.A fresh piece of lettuce with a piece of fried anything could never cause the lettuce outside of the bun to wilt in this way. The food does not have a fresh taste or smell. I would also like to point out the oil not being constantly reused is something I would have defended with my business. Ultimately, we all are exposed to different levels of quality, especially regarding food. Rootz happens to be below my baseline of healthy and fresh food.Vegetarian options: Food is not fresh.
