Bidra med feedbackUsed 3 nights and the food staff were excellent,The sea bass was great,Haddock chips were very good also.
Personally I wouldn’t eat here not with always given two types of potato and French beans with all your evening meals
Dinner with our business owners and colleagues. Staff attentive, engaging and could not be faulted however could only pity them at having to serve such a poor standard of food at totally overinflated prices. Squid starters were particularly awful frozen discount supermarket standard, oily, soggy and tasteless. The other starters didn't appear any better. A selection of mains the steak was remarked upon as tough and tasteless, the fish tasted off and was returned half eaten (with the consumer ill in the early hours of the morning) and whoever thinks what I was served up was a schnitzel really needs to take a trip to Austria. Desserts weren't too bad but what had come before made the meal beyond rescue. I appreciate the industry is going to have a tough time emerging from the pandemic but this is not the way to do it and we'll never go near the place again.
Booked to go for afternoon tea with my aunt. When we arrived we were asked if we had a voucher, stated we had booked online. Then Amy said you can have that table there, where? There, as set up for two. The tables were so packed together we asked about more spacing, there aren’t anymore restrictions in place Amy advised whilst we were wearing masks! Then Kayleigh took our order and it was literally dropped at the table by Amy who then curtly left. At no point in the hour and a half were we approached to ask if Everything was ok or if we wanted more to drink than the measly small one and a half cup of tea/coffee with the £25 per person afternoon tea. We waited but nothing. We were disappointed that the tiny sandwiches were buttered with margarine when they didn’t need any. When we left to pay, again we were not asked if everything was ok and they weren’t fun off their feet. Rude , disrespectful and poor value for money.
I had limited choice where to eat as there is not much in the area, so I paid for overpriced, uninspiring food. A very limited menu and one of the main items, was not available, so it was even more limited. I went for the £16.50 pizza (that is not a typo) which when delivered to me looked like the waiter had eaten some of it on the way to the table as it had a chunk missing. I know should have complained but I have a rule of never returning food to a kitchen. So all in all, the food and restaurant as mediocre as the hotel itself.
