Bidra med feedbackThis is a $21.00 generous portion of shrimp! No way!! That means I paid $3 per shrimp (with slaw which as a side is $3)! Overpriced! Although it WAS delicious, I wish I could have seen a picture of their portions. I would have gone somewhere else. I had already eaten some slaw so I did not show it in my picture. For $21.00, I got 6 shrimp and slaw. I will not go again.
The seafood omelet at brunch was horrible. I had to search for the lump crabmeat which I couldn't even taste. It lacked the roasted red peppers and barely had any spinach. It was chopped so teeny that I thought they were green scallions. I got only one bite of the cheese that was included in the omelet. The only noticeable items I tasted were the shrimp, and the pineapple salsa. Unfortunately I ate it all during my hunt for the scanty (if any! items inside the omelet. I should have returned it after tasting it! Waitress was not friendly during the whole service other than keeping our water cups full. The only saving grace was being able to eat outside by the ocean but then again we couldn't see it from where we sat.
First and last time! We come to Cherry Grove every year in September. This was the first time trying out Snooky’s. They were obviously short staffed. Our server explained that it was due to the departure of the summer help. If they knew this was coming preparations should have been made. Food came out with missing condiments, burger was prepared wrong-requested med well and received med, bordering rare. Food was cold. We have gone years without stepping foot into Snooky’s until this trip. Looks like will will not patronize this establishment in the future.
After waiting about 45 minutes for our food, and watching several newer tables being served before us, the Tuna tower was served on a massive plate despite the serving size being about that of a baseball. I was expecting something decently sized, even if it was just extra rice. The first plate of fish and chips was mostly raw batter, they quickly replaced the dish with nicely cooked filets, however, if it was flounder, it wasn't the most fresh. The slaw also tasted funky and cabbage was definitely not crisp. Our server wasn't too keen on refilling my drinks but my fiance had hers refilled frequently. Aside from these issues, definitely not a bad place to eat. Most likely just a bad day in the kitchen.
We placed our name and were told a half hour wait no big deal after about 40 minutes and seeing numerous people being seated we went and asked where we were on the list. They said they called us even though we were sitting on the back patio. I did not get a text or call in my phone. They said they would put our name on the list and it would be another 1/2 hour. We said we were there the whole time waiting. Took another 15 minutes to be seated. Food service was kinda slow. I got the lobster and crab legs with a crab cake. The lobster was overcooked a bit rubbery the crab cake well I am a Maryland girl this one had way to much fillers and didn't compare. The crab legs were good. My husband got oysters Rockefeller and said they were pretty amazing he did not care for the Buffalo shrimp wraps. Overall this place did not live up to its hype. Definitely not on my will go back to placesParking: Paid parking next to restaurant
