Conservatorium - North Strathfield

We're regular customers of Conservatorium, but this morning and last weekend- we got the shock of our lives. The owner was awfully RUDE!!! The worst treatment I've ever had the misfortune to experience! Terrible!The waitress was just being very helpful & accommodating by offering to change the roast beef to chicken- even if I didn't ask for it- because she assumed I preferred chicken ( my first order was chicken by the salad was already taken, so I ordered another salad with roast beef).He told her off in front of me and indirectly told me off, too, with his remarks,'There are other food in the menu- what's the big deal?!?!' The waitress was embarrassed but gave me an apologetic look.Before I left , I casually asked if the owner was having a bad day. He was on his computer & didn't even look at me- and just said,'Nah!'And I commented that I found his behavior a while ago quite rude .He merely scoffed and sneered- without looking at me.What a jerk! Terribly rude!!And the food wasn't even that good!!!We'll NEVER go back to his resto and I'm gonna tell my family and friends who go to that place regularly NEVER to go back there, too.The owner was such a jerk!!! Pardon my French, but his rude behavior was just a major put off. Regular customers like me should NOT be treated that way!NEVER AGAIN AT CONSERVATORIUM!!!

A lovely atmosphere. I love the pumpkin muffin and my husband loves their fried chicken burger. I've been a few times and food is consistently good.

If you want something a bit different for breakfast then try their pumpkin ricotta muffin, very light and tasty. Of course they also serve the usual bacon and egg combinations and the coffee was excellent

Part of a roasting company. Hence coffee is good and fresh. Small but nice selection of food. Had the granola which was very tasty.

It is hard to find good coffee in this area, but this restaurant is exceptional. Situated next to the Train Station, it has a lot of seating in a comfortable, open layout. The service was fast and the coffee was definitely worth it.
