Betty Macdonald's Canteen

I have loved this place since I was a child, with its delicious home-style meals and great atmosphere. It is one of the few original restaurants still standing, serving food that is truly from the heart.

This place was worth my drive to Sydney non greasy fish and tasty fries. Great easy interaction with the lady working there and everything was fresh. No spots to sit in was the downfall but the food is good.

This was the best meal I've ever had. I will definitely be returning to try more items from the menu.

The homemade hamburger and freshly cut fries were delicious! I highly recommend trying the Kitchen Sink Burger - it was amazing!

Pretty good fare for a decent price. Cash only during the pandemic didn't appear obvious on their website (that I could see), but the staff was fast, efficient, and friendly... including loud voices so everyone knew when their order was ready. Will return for sure!!!
